Compliance with the Requirements

Article 8 — Compliance with the Requirements 1. High-risk AI systems shall comply with the requirements established in this Section, taking into account their intended purpose as well as the generally acknowledged state of the art on AI and AI-related technologies. 2. In demonstrating compliance, providers shall use harmonised standards referred to in Article 40 that cover one or more of those requirements. Alternatively, providers may use common specifications as referred to in Article 41 or other technical solutions. Where applicable, providers of high-risk AI systems shall conduct a conformity assessment to demonstrate compliance before placing the system on the market or putting it into service.
