Article 85 — Codes of Conduct for Voluntary Application of Specific Requirements

1. The AI Office and the national competent authorities shall encourage and facilitate the drawing up of codes of conduct intended to foster the voluntary application of specific requirements referred to in Chapter III, Section 2 to AI systems other than high-risk AI systems.

2. The Commission and the Member States shall facilitate the development of such codes of conduct. Where appropriate, the Commission shall publish the codes of conduct.

3. Participation in codes of conduct pursuant to this Article shall be open to all interested providers and deployers, and may cover one or more requirements at a time.
