Article 67 — National Competent Authorities 1. Each Member State shall designate or establish at least one notifying authority and at least one market surveillance authority as national competent authorities for the purpose of ensuring the application and implementation of this Regulation. 2. National competent authorities shall act in an independent, objective and impartial manner in the exercise of their tasks and powers. They shall ensure that persons or entities involved in the preparation or handling of cases are free from direct or indirect conflicts of interest. 3. Member States shall communicate to the Commission the name of their designated national competent authorities by 2 August 2025, as well as, where applicable, the allocation of functions and responsibilities of those authorities. 4. National competent authorities shall cooperate with each other and with the Commission, and shall exchange information with each other and with other relevant national competent authorities.
