Article 62 — Measures for Providers and Deployers that are SMEs, Including Start-Ups 1. Member States shall undertake the following actions: (a) provide SMEs, including start-ups, with priority access to the AI regulatory sandboxes to the extent that they fulfil the eligibility conditions and selection criteria; (b) organise specific awareness raising activities about the application of this Regulation tailored to the needs of SMEs; (c) where appropriate, establish a dedicated channel for communication with SMEs, start-ups and other interested parties to provide guidance and respond to queries about the implementation of this Regulation. 2. Relevant authorities of Member States shall provide enterprises, in particular SMEs, including start-ups, with technical and regulatory guidance and tools that are specific to AI development, including access to testing environments. 3. The specific interests and needs of SMEs shall be taken into account when setting the fees for conformity assessment under this Regulation.
