Automatically Generated Logs

Article 19 — Automatically Generated Logs

1. Providers of high-risk AI systems shall keep the automatically generated logs referred to in Article 12(1), insofar as such logs are under their control by virtue of a contractual arrangement with the deployer or otherwise by operation of law. The logs shall be kept for a period that is appropriate in the light of the intended purpose of the high-risk AI system and applicable legal obligations under Union or national law.

2. Providers that are credit institutions regulated by Directive 2013/36/EU shall maintain the logs as part of the documentation kept pursuant to Article 74 of that Directive.
