Article 21 — Cooperation with Competent Authorities

Providers of high-risk AI systems shall, upon request by a national competent authority, provide that authority with all the information and documentation necessary to demonstrate the conformity of the high-risk AI system with the requirements set out in Section 2 of this Chapter, in a language which can be easily understood by that authority.

Providers shall also give the competent authority access to the automatically generated logs of the high-risk AI system referred to in Article 12(1), where such logs are under their control.

Upon reasoned request from a competent authority, providers shall also provide the competent authority with access to the training, validation and testing datasets used, including through application programming interfaces (API) or other appropriate technical means and tools enabling remote access.
