Notification of Conformity Assessment Bodies

Article 28 — Notification of Conformity Assessment Bodies

1. Member States shall notify the Commission and the other Member States of the conformity assessment bodies authorised to carry out third-party conformity assessment under this Regulation.

2. The notified bodies shall carry out the tasks of third-party conformity assessment in accordance with Articles 43 to 46 and the procedures set out in Annexes VI and VII.

3. The notification shall be accompanied by a detailed description of the conformity assessment activities, the conformity assessment modules or procedures and the AI systems concerned, and the relevant accreditation certificate issued by the national accreditation body.
